Ray Takeshita assumed the role of Senior Vice President at Diamond Realty Investments, where he leads the Capital Markets Department. His responsibilities include developing co-investment programs targeting Japanese investors and providing advisory services for various real estate funds managed by Diamond Realty Management (DREAM) across different strategies.

Prior to this role, Ray served as President and CEO of Diamond Realty Management America (DRM) until July 2024. During his tenure, he brought more than 20 years of real estate and private equity investment experience to the role, shaping the firm’s vision, guiding its acquisition strategy, and managing relationships with key development and investment partners across the United States.

Previously, Ray was General Manager of the Strategic Investment Department at DREAM, a leading asset management company in Japan with a primary focus on U.S. debt and equity markets, and Mezzanine lending in Japan. He was instrumental in growing DREAM’s assets under management in the U.S. to more than $1 billion. Before DREAM, Ray served as the Director of Japan Industrial Solutions (PE Fund) and led a Hong Kong-based JV private equity investment firm as Managing Director, focusing on mid-small cap corporate investments. Earlier in his career, Ray was an acquisition manager at Mitsubishi Corporation UBS Realty Inc., guiding the firm’s investments in industrial assets.

Ray holds an ME from Tokyo Institute of Technology and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
